Efficient Product Lifecycle Management for Modern Challenges In today’s rapidly evolving world, product lifecycles are continually shrinking. This translates to increased pressure on product development to deliver faster results and promptly respond to changing market demands. Consequently, there is a growing need for a solution that consolidates product development and order engineering across all disciplines into a single platform. This is the driving force behind our reinvention of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management).

Introduction

We have genuinely streamlined the digital representation of your products, ensuring that all information is seamlessly interconnected across every phase and discipline. Our solution is purpose-built to optimize your document-related processes. It enables efficient management and organization of all your product data, enables real-time tracking of significant changes, and fosters seamless collaboration among cross-functional teams.

Key Features

Product-related documents and data all in one place

requirements, design- and product specifications, Product characteristics like dimensions, material, and logistic and commercial data

Included intelligent workflows for Change management.

Multiple Classifications

Organize and categorize products into multiple categories based on their function in production, facilitating effective component management and organization.

Manage your product lifecycle from design to creation

tracking relevant documents, version control, revisions, test data, etc

Engineering change request and change orders

Multi cad integrations

Collaborate between electrical CAD (eCAD) and mechanical CAD (mCAD) platforms.

Benefits

Unified solution for all functions

Benefit from a single system that integrates risk management, configuration management, and product tracking, eliminating the need for separate systems for each function.

Collaboration with Sales and Production

Foster collaborative efforts by providing shared visibility into the product development process, bridging the gap between sales, and production teams.

In Information Flow from the Field to Engineers

When issues arise in the field, facilitate the transfer of relevant information to engineers swiftly and efficiently, thanks to a dedicated app and streamlined communication channels within the organization.

Breaking Down the Engineering silo

Instead of limiting insights, opt for real-life information from the field, breaking down the traditional barriers within the engineering department and embracing a more holistic approach to problem-solving.

Quick/Real

Time Impact Insights into the impact of design changes or decisions on various aspects of the product.

Production and procurement

activities are synchronized with project timelines, through insight into the status of a product.

Simplify the sharing

of valuable technical knowledge for continuous improvement throughout the entire organization, with a particular emphasis on the engineering department.

Perform inventory tasks on the go

Flexibility to manage inventory remotely using web browsers and various devices, enhancing productivity, and eliminating location restrictions.

Features

Functional specifications

These specifications outline the “what” of the requirements, describing the functionalities, user interactions, and performance expectations. By documenting the functional requirements in detail, stakeholders can ensure a shared understanding of the product’s intended functionality, facilitating effective communication and alignment with customer needs.

Technical specifications

Ensure that the product is designed and manufactured according to the defined technical requirements by setting technical specifications. They encompass details such as materials, dimensions, manufacturing processes, engineering standards and performance criteria.

Product Data management

Document management

Manage your product lifecycle and keep track of all the relevant documents related to your product development. This includes design specifications, version history, test data, etc. Regardless of the document type, whether it’s drawings, CAD data, office documents, or any other relevant files, the system ensures systematic management and easy accessibility (OR documentation can be structurally managed).

BOM

Build and manage your bill of materials. Easily create, edit, and update BOMs, including adding or removing items and tracking changes over time.

Incorporating multi-CAD integration into the Bill of Materials (BOM) feature facilitates collaboration and data exchange among various CAD platforms.

Item level – materials & requirements

Manage materials and requirements associated with each component. Each item is assigned a unique item code and description for easy identification and tracking.

Multiple classifications

Products can be classified into multiple categories based on their function in production. This classification system helps in organizing and categorizing components (such as gears, axles, bearing, and engines accordingly).

Dimension properties

PDM enables the specification and storage of various dimension properties for each product. These properties can include dimensions, weight, and other relevant attributes. Additional properties can be defined based on specific requirements.

Status management

Track the progress and current stage of products throughout their lifecycle. Common statuses include design, validation, approved, testing phase, in production, and released. This feature provides visibility into the status of each product at any given time.

Revision process

Manage changes andupdates totheproduct witha well-definedrevision process. When a product is in production (frozen state), only revision requests are accepted. To initiate a revision, an engineering change request is submitted, followed by a change order sent to engineers. Engineers create a new version based on the change request, and the revised product progresses from version 1 to version 2.

Versions

Versions are the result of the revision process and represent different iterations of a product. Each version has a specific timeline indicating when it was in production. Get insight into the information about the production order associated with each version and the corresponding revision.

Configuration Management

Constraints

Prevent errors and conflicts (in the bill of materials) by using smart attribute constraints and combination rules to ensure only compatible parts and options are selected and to specify how modules and parts are allowed to be combined.

Traceability

If necessary, it is possible to allocate a distinct serial number to each product and its individual components. Each product number can be linked to a specific version of the product, which is documented in the bill of materials. In addition to listing all the components used in a specific version, the bill of materials also includes the version information for each individual component.

Article number instead of revisions

If needed, use a new article number instead of revision, to indicate changes in a product version. This means that each version of the product is assigned a unique article number, enabling a direct relationship between serial numbers and article numbers. This facilitates the management and traceability of different product versions.

Risk Management

Design failure mode analysis

Identify potential areas where design failures can occur. This analysis helps in understanding the risks and implementing measures to mitigate them effectively.

Production failure mode analysis

Identify potential production-related failures and understand their impact. The determined impact guides the implementation of appropriate measures to address and mitigate these failures.

Product functioning analysis

Capture and document the risks associated with the functioning of your product. By documenting this information, it becomes easier to track and manage risks throughout the product lifecycle.

Traceability

Each item is traced and linked to relevant information. This includes the item’s serial number, associated production order, and version. This traceability enables better visibility and control over risks associated with individual components or products.

Call To Action

Lorem ipsum, or lipsum as it is sometimes known, is dummy text used in laying out print, graphic or web designs. The passage is attributed to an unknown typesetter in the 15th century.
